Artist Bio

I'm Lish Grooves, a musician and producer who loves to blend different genres—ambient grooves, funk, jazz, blues, hip-hop, alternative, and experimental music are all part of my sound. I like to weave my poetry into my music, and I also incorporate self-recorded nature sounds to create unique soundscapes and weird grooves.

I’ve been bringing a microphone out into forests and beaches for years, and have built up an extensive soundbank of nature recordings, featuring everything from rustling leaves and fluttering wings to flowing water and ocean waves.

Over the years, I’ve released a variety of projects, including Green and Blue Things (2018), Interoception (2018), Tin Tin (2019), Harmonic Soundscapes Vol. 1 (2020), Ambient Grooves (2020), Saxoflow (2021), Flow State (2021), Upgrades (2021), Thunderbird (2023), Sitting by the Creek (2023), Tidal (2024), and Cast a Spell (2024). These works showcase my love for blending natural sounds with diverse musical genres to create immersive auditory experiences.

In addition to my album releases, I’ve completed a couple of commissions for the YouTube Audio Library (in 2018 and 2024) and published six additional Royalty Free Rhythms tracks in 2024. I’m also gearing up to release my first full-length album later this year, along with several exciting collaboration projects.

I also had the chance to produce the spoken word album The Spirit Yearns to Move by GabofGaia in 2020. In 2024, I took my creative expression beyond music and published a poetry book titled It's Everyone's First Time in This Life.

You can find my music on YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, or wherever else you listen!

Poetry Book

In this collection of poetic thoughts on the experience of being a human, Lish Grooves hones in on the sounds, emotions, highs, and lows of this life, seeking to speak to the thing we all have in common - being human.

I'm living like a human. What about you?

But what then does it even mean to be human? Well, my heart’s beating, and that’s something I can believe in. And I’ve had some deep connections with others that made it skip a beat - And - I’m continually breathing - And - It seems we’re all searching for some meaning.
